Everything is a User Experience

Most of the information you read about user experience design focuses on creating websites or applications. That is certainly a major part of what user experience designers do, but user experience goes beyond a tech interface. Humans have lots of interactions that don’t involve technology; we just aren’t necessarily thinking of them as “user experiences.”

Have you ever:

· Walked into a store and tried in vain to locate what you need?

· Taken a class, and struggled to learn anything from it?

· Tried to support small local businesses, only to find they make it challenging?

I’d like to use this blog mainly to focus on this type of user experience, but I’m sure traditional topics will creep in occasionally! Basically, I’m going to share the things I notice as I move through the world, and how the user experience could have been better.

Remember, life is a user experience!
